[DRAFT] - Governance, Transparency and Accountability in the Health Sector in Uganda

This is a baseline study on transparency and accountability in the health sector. The study involved three main phases namely: a desk review and preliminary study, a survey and development of risk maps for each building block of the health care system.

On the basis of the information collected 'risk maps' were developed that assess risks to the health sector in relation to transparency, integrity, accountability, corruption and participation in the various blocks of the health care system. These risk maps are intended to provide the basis for the development of participatory and inclusive advocacy strategies seeking to engage end users, service providers and decision-makers at government level in fighting the root causes and adverse effects of corruption on effective service delivery in the health sector.
